Avoid bag + backpack overload!

Are the school and work bags all filled with crumpled paper, empty gum wrappers, snack crumbs, and artwork?

Whether you are coming home with a full bag from work or unpacking kids lunchboxes, having a space to go through your bags and reset for the next day will make a world of difference!

  • Choose a spot with a large enough surface to place all lunchboxes, water bottles, papers, art, etc.

  • Whenever a bag comes into the house at the end of the day, go through all of the contents.

  • Once the bag is emptied, make sure only necessities go back into the bag.

  • Put all other items where they belong.

This will quickly become second nature and you will be glad to save time on weekday mornings!

A few ideas for small entry spaces:

A small cart can be stored in a closet, under a hallway table, or as part of an office/ homework station.

Each shelf can have a different category and adding a pegboard side can help with extra school/ office supplies.

A simple wall unit can keep papers and small items tidy while taking up zero floorspace!

If you already have a table in your entryway, a desktop organizer can be a great way to sort homework, bills, and miscellaneous items to be put away,

Need a hand decluttering, measuring, researching products, and implementing new systems?
